Camille Holder

Camille received her Bachelors from the University of Miami in 2000, where she double majored in Anthropology and Film. She wrote and directed two short films while in the program, “Ethos of the Ghettos” and “Run”. Only weeks after graduating from Univ. of Miami, she began a summer internship in Brooklyn at Spike Lee’s 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks, where she served as a script reader. Camille earned her MFA in Filmmaking from Howard University in 2005.

While attending Howard, Camille was one of three students in her department chosen to shoot a documentary while attending FESPACO, a Pan-African film festival in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Camille presently resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, Omar and two babies, Amali and Fela. Currently, she is working on her first feature, a film about parenting.
