Jeta Amata

Jeta Amata the grandson of John Amata,a famous Nigerian playwright and actor, comes from three generations of actors, directors and producers. His family other famous family members include Ifoghale Amata, Zack Amata and Fred Amata. He is one of Nigeria’s most prolific filmmakers and to date has directed over 20 “Nollywood” home videos. Jeta Amata’s filmography includes Alexa Affair, Mary Slessor, Inale and Black Gold. His film,The Amazing Grace won the award Best West African Film in 2006 at the Screen Nations Award in the UK. He is also the first Nigerian to have his film screened at the prestigious Cannes film festival. He has a degree in dramatic arts, and is currently touring the USA promoting his latest movie “The Amazing Grace”.
