An award-winning Nigerian filmmaker is one of the children of late theatre icon and pioneers of celluloid films in Nigeria – Adeyemi Afolayan - popularly known as Ade Love. A banker in Nigeria for seven years, Kunle quit his job to pursue his passion of acting. He started his career in acting in a Tunde Kelani production titled “SAWORO-IDE” in 1998 which is the film that brought him to the attention of the acting scene in Nollywood (Nigerian film Industry).

He then went on to attend the New York Film Academy where he gained a certificate in digital filmmaking. As an actor, Kunle Afolayan can be scence in the following Nigerian Yoruba Films Farayola, Onitemi, Ti Ala Ba Ku,  Èjiwòrò. He has gone on to direct The Figurine(araromire), a thriller about  two friends down on their luck whose lifes are turned around when they discover the  the mysterious figurine, Phone Swap – a comedy that tells the story of of two people that accidently have their phone swaps and the hilarious consequences that they both bear. His recent documentary series,  Isedale,which explores the history of the Yoruba Kingdom in West Africa, took the African network giant African Magic  by storm and has had several repeat screenings.
