HaJ is an Emmy nominated film, video and media producer with over 15 years of production experience. She started her career by writing, producing and performing in a series of Public Service Announcements, which aired on UPN and were nominated for an Emmy award when she was 15 years old. By the time she graduated from High School for the Performing Arts, John Leguizamo presented her with the top acting award sponsored by the League of American Theatres & Producers and received the President’s Merit Award to attend Carnegie Mellon University where she majored in Theater earning a Bachelors in Fine Arts and a minor in English. Her aspirations are to create impactful niche media content for broad audiences. HaJ has developed her craft through appointment at Sony Pictures, Todd Street Productions,and Brillstein Grey Partners. She has worked with clients that included BWM, Mini Cooper, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, L’Oreal, Jive Records, Spelman College and Harley Davidson.
In 2006, HaJ founded TICKLES.TV “Entertainment for the Urban Chameleon”, an online entertainment and production company that highlight the multifaceted perspectives of people of color. Over the past 15 years, HaJ has also worked on numerous music video and commercial productions for artists such as Sean Puffy Combs, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes. HaJ produced and directed The Untitled Kelis Project, for Grammy nominated recording artist Kelis, (“Milkshake”), which premiered at the 2005 Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles. Shortly after, she produced an opening video for the Britney Spears tour at the Staple Center in Los Angeles.
