Jay was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and grew up in a single parent home with two sisters. At the age of 25, he left everything he ever knew to move to Los Angeles, California, in pursuit of His Destiny. It was on this journey in the city of angels where Jay discovered his three most important loves. His first love is God who ultimately found him. Jay has always believed in a higher power, but it wouldn’t be until September of 1998 when Jay started to “Walk” the talk. His second love is filmmaking. Jay is a self-taught filmmaker putting in thousands of hours of reading and hands-on learning throughout the film business. To date Jay has produced two independent films (Get Right or Get Left and When We Were Kids), a documentary (I’m Thoo Talkin’), a television show (Divva On A Mission), a stage play (We Must Go Forward vol.1 The Passion of the Black Man) and a host of videos and commercials. Jay’s third love is tap dancing. In October of 2009, Jay published his first book titled ‘Tap Into Your Destiny’ of which he performs in front of live bands, artists, poets, churches and schools, combining tap and spoken word inspiring people to live out their destiny.
