Tayo recently graduated from Howard University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking. Her personal and academic pursuits have enabled her to work on a short film “Atunbi” as the producer, writer, director, and editor.  Having her undergraduate background in English and Communication with a concentration in Public Relations from the University of Maryland, College Park, she has work experience in print media interning at both CosmoGirl and Seventeen Magazines and working as a Copy Editor Trainee at Cadmus Communications.

Through the Creative Minds in Cannes program, she attended the 2009 Cannes Film Festival where she interned briefly at the internationally renowned talent agency, ICM. She has also co-produced and directed two music videos for an up and coming Nigerian artist, TolumiDE. She is carving a niche for herself in front of and behind the camera as an actor, producer, director, and writer through her company Black Royal Pictures, a production company created to inspire Nigerian audiences through relevant and insightful content.

Adunni Ajakaiye has always been the rock of her family. She’s managed to raise a child, Ireti, despite the medical odds and is doing her best to uphold her troubled marriage to Akin. When a cancer diagnosis and the possibility of love with a stranger, Jordan Alexander, threaten to steal Ireti, Adunni fights back! Her hopes hang on her intense prayers and the instructions of a so-called seer until Ireti has the courage to confront her mother. All of a sudden, Adunni has to accept that her fight is misdirected– the elements that threaten her family are not outside but within her.
